The flavorful phở broth is prepared using alkaline ionized water
Phở SOL, also known as Phở Thìn by SOL, is a familiar brand among lovers of authentic Hanoi-style phở in Ho Chi Minh City. The soul of a Phở SOL bowl lies in its clear yet deeply flavorful broth, true to Northern Vietnamese taste, leaving a lasting impression after just one try. Phở SOL uses a rich combination of beef leg bones and marrow bones, and especially dried sea worms (sá sùng) to naturally enhance sweetness. The broth is simmered in pure alkaline ionized water for up to 12 hours, allowing the alkaline ions to help extract maximum essence and nutrients while reducing excess fat, resulting in a more refined flavor and a broth that is considered beneficial for health.

When asked, Mr. Dao Bang Trinh, CEO and founder of the Phở SOL system, shared: “I have traveled to Japan many times and noticed that they use alkaline ionized water in simmering broth for popular noodle dishes such as ramen and udon. It not only creates a richer and more delicious flavor but also offers significant health benefits. From there, I aspired to become a pioneer in applying alkaline ionized water to phở preparation for Vietnamese diners.” Through the conversation, one can clearly feel the founder’s passion.
Beyond pioneering this unique broth-making method using alkaline ionized water, Phở SOL is also extremely meticulous in selecting various types of beef. The brand uses fresh young beef delivered daily from Cu Chi, along with premium beef cuts imported directly from Australia and Japan, offering customers a wide range of high-quality choices.
Diverse Menu at Phở SOL
The menu at Phở SOL is like a whole world of phở, where the stir-fried rare beef phở is the best seller. However, what truly leaves a lasting impression and wins over even the most demanding diners is the collection of sizzling hot stone bowl phở dishes that are hard to resist, such as premium marbled Wagyu rare beef stone bowl phở, smoked beef stone bowl phở, and extra large beef rib stone bowl phở. In addition, there is a wide variety of other phở inspired dishes such as crispy fried phở, mixed phở, phở rolls, along with must try Hanoi street snacks.

Visiting Phở SOL, diners can easily notice the meticulous attention to detail and the perfectionist mindset of its founder. On each table, there is always a homemade chili sauce with a bold, aromatic heat, and guests can also order crispy fried dough sticks to enjoy an authentic Hanoi-style phở experience. The phở is served in nostalgic porcelain bowls inspired by old Hanoi aesthetics, while each spoon and pair of chopsticks is elegantly finished with lacquered and gold plated details. The restaurant space evokes a familiar Hanoi atmosphere, featuring vivid mural paintings of blooming bougainvillea, old street corner electric poles, and vintage public loudspeakers, all harmoniously blended within an elegant Indochine style architectural concept. A key interior highlight is the use of wood and iron materials painted in deep green tones, seen in rattan furniture, window frames, and stairways reminiscent of old apartment buildings. Subtle touches of bright red patterns, inspired by traditional subsidized era peacock blankets, add a distinctive nostalgic accent throughout the space.
